Letting fans play 3D keepy uppy with Gerrard, Torres, Carragher and Kuyt. Liverpool FC has launched an official iPhone game: Liverpool FC Keepy Uppy King. The game went live on the App Store this week, and puts fans in the boots of four Anfield stars: Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Jamie Carragher and Dirk Kuyt. As the title suggests, the game involves ball juggling (which is sensible from a licensing perspective, as there's no need to then pay to license opposition teams and players). The official branding means the game can feature Liverpool's Melwood training complex though, as well as Anfield itself. The game also has a global high-score table. It's one of the first examples of an officially club-branded iPhone football game, although UK developer Bright AI has released official keepy uppy iPhone games for Everton and Tottenham this year. It didn't develop Liverpool FC's though. Mobile has seen several examples though, from Jump Games' Manchester United titles, through to Artificial Life's game with Bayern Munich.
