Verizon Wireless launches the Verizon Escapade

Verizon Wireless has just launched the Verizon Escapade, a dual-mode CDMA/GSM globally roaming flip phone built by Personal Communication Devices. The Escapade will function on both of Verizon’s CDMA network bands and any of the four major GSM network bands used throughout the world, allowing consumers to talk in more than 220 foreign destinations. The new Verizon device features two color displays, the larger internal TFT display and the smaller external display. Other features of the phone include a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth headset support, and the ability to run the Verizon VZ Navigator application for turn-by-turn directions while driving in the United States.
